The Product Manager is accountable for driving product success by integrating market needs, product development, and supply chain efficiency. They oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle—from conception to delivery—while collaborating closely with R&D, engineering, procurement, operations, IP/IR team, and external partners to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and quality product execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
1-1 Define product vision and strategic objectives aligned with customer and market needs.
1-2 Develop and maintain product roadmaps with consideration for production and logistics timelines.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
2-1 Act as a central liaison between R&D, operations, procurement, quality, logistics, and sales.
2-2 Drive coordination to balance customer expectations with operational feasibility and cost targets.
3. Supply Chain Integration
3-1 Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure:
3-1-1 Raw material availability and lead times.
3-1-2 Supplier qualification and performance alignment with product requirements.
3-1-3 Risk assessment and mitigation plans (e.g., dual sourcing, safety stocks).
3-2 Monitor inventory turnover, capacity planning, and production schedules to ensure product availability.
4. Demand & Forecast Management
4-1 Integrate sales forecasts, historical data, and market intelligence to improve demand planning accuracy.
4-2 Align supply strategies with demand trends to minimize shortages or excess.
5. Product Lifecycle Management
5-1 Manage product from development to end-of-life, including version control, localization, and transition planning.
5-2 Coordinate phase-in/phase-out with supply chain to avoid obsolescence and minimize write-offs.
6. Market & Customer Insights
6-1 Conduct voice-of-customer and competitor analysis.
6-2 Translate market trends into supply chain-friendly product specifications and innovations.
7. Cost and Profitability Management
7-1 Analyze cost structures (COGS) and work with sourcing to achieve cost-down targets.
7-2 Ensure product pricing supports margin goals while remaining competitive.
8. Quality and Regulatory Compliance
8-1 Ensure products meet applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer quality expectations.
8-2 Support audits and corrective actions related to product and supplier performance.
9. Reporting and Metrics
9-1 Track and report KPIs across product performance, supply continuity, on-time delivery, and cost.
9-2 Use insights to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
